Gitpod is a platform for provisiniong development workspaces in the cloud. You can possibly bring your established IDE, like VS Code, Jetbrains or even command-line based IDEs like Emacs or Vim.
The product itself is build in the open, and uses mainly Typescript and Golang in its techstack
Headquarter of the company is the Silicon Valley, with the German subsidiary in Kiel.
